Grace Initiative Global and Yale Divinity School
organized Expert Level Discussion on Haiti
Transition Strategies for Healing, Sustainability and Transformation
United Nations Delegates Dining Room 20 June 2025 from 13:00 to 15:00
For World Refugee Day, the theme calls for supporting local community efforts to resettle refugees, while considering refugees’ concerns and the causes for them to leave their country. Grace Initiative Global, focused on Haitian resettlement and the pathway for economic self-sufficiency, is reminded daily of Haiti's security crisis and the Haitians' longing for security, community healing and prosperity.
Diplomats from permanent missions to the UN and senior UN officials discussed transition strategies to not only address immediate security needs but also lay the groundwork for long-term healing and growth. To this end, it is our great honour to invite you to give a brief intervention regarding Angola’s transition, for more than 25 years of civil war to sustainable development and prosperty during a discussion. In this regard, the Dr. Gregory Sterling, Dean of Yale Divinity School will also share information on the world’s first Living Village at the Divinity School.
