Theodore A. Johnson

Theodore (Ted) Johnson is Associate Professor of the Practice in Conflict Management and Dispute Resolution in the Heller School, Brandeis University. Prior to this, he worked with Conflict Management Group and Mercy Corps in Cambridge MA as a consultant and trainer in numerous business and government agencies such as:  IBM, Microsoft, World Health Organization, World Food Program, and the US Department of State.

He has worked in dispute areas such as: Angola, Armenia, Cyprus, and South Africa. He also co-designed a youth violence prevention program which was recognized by the US Government, cities and others as a model community-based process. 

He holds a Master of Arts in Law and Diplomacy, and PhD in International Relations from the Fletcher School at Tufts University. Prior to attending Fletcher, Dr. Johnson was a Deputy District Attorney in Orange County California.

He is currently a retired member of the California Bar Association and holds a Juris Doctorate from Western State University,
