Nicholas Coburn-Palo, Ph.D.

Dr. Nick Coburn-Palo serves on the faculty as a preceptor and teaches graduate courses on negotiation and policy analysis at Harvard University.  He has also taught courses on persuasion, mediation, and global organizations at San Jose State University.  Nick has worked for over a decade as a consulting negotiation and diplomacy trainer for the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), working with diplomats from dozens of nations all the way up to the Security Council level.  This work has included working with African Union diplomats to prepare for the Rio+20 summit on sustainable development and with South Korean diplomats engaged in contentious negotiations with Tokyo and Pyongyang.  Nick earned his doctorate in Political Science from Brown University and has lectured on negotiation strategies at universities on four continents.
